Provision to Third Parties

The Company does not provide personal data to third parties without the individual’s prior consent, except in the following circumstances:

Where required or permitted by law
Where necessary to protect the life, body, or property of a person and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
Where particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound development of children and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
Where cooperation is necessary for a national or local government body, or a person entrusted by such a body, to perform duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the individual’s consent may impede the performance of those duties

Supervision of Service Providers

The Company may outsource the handling of personal data to external service providers to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use.

In such cases, the Company provides necessary and appropriate supervision through the selection of appropriate service providers, contractual arrangements, confirmation of data-handling practices, and other appropriate measures.

Handling of Personal Data Outside Japan

The Company may use cloud services provided by Google LLC and other providers or affiliated companies located outside Japan for e-mail, file storage, website analytics, and other business operations.

The principal foreign country in which such providers are located is the United States of America. Personal data may, however, be stored or processed on servers located in Japan or other countries or regions.

Where the use of such services constitutes a transfer of personal data to a third party located outside Japan, the Company will take the measures required under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws, including obtaining consent where required and confirming the data protection framework of the recipient.

Where personal data is handled outside Japan, the Company will understand the relevant personal information protection systems of the applicable country and implement necessary and appropriate security control measures.

Response to Data Breaches

Where a leakage, loss, damage, or other incident affecting the security of personal data occurs or is suspected to have occurred, the Company will investigate the facts, determine the scope of the impact, prevent further damage, implement measures to prevent recurrence, and take other necessary action.

Where reporting to the Personal Information Protection Commission or another competent authority, or notification to the affected individuals, is required by law, the Company will respond in accordance with the legally prescribed procedures and time limits.

Requests for Disclosure and Other Actions

Where the Company receives a request from an individual or the individual’s authorized representative concerning personal data retained by the Company, it will respond in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws.

Website Analytics, Cookies, and External Transmission

The Company uses Google Analytics, a website analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how its websites are used and to improve their content and usability.

Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect cookie identifiers, pages viewed, date and time of access, device and browser information, approximate geographic location, referral source, and other website usage information.

This information is transmitted to servers managed by Google LLC or its affiliates and is handled in accordance with Google’s applicable terms of service and privacy policy.

The Company uses information collected through Google Analytics to analyze and improve the use of its websites.

The Company does not combine information collected through Google Analytics with names, e-mail addresses, or other information for the purpose of identifying a particular individual. The Company also operates its websites so that information directly identifying a particular individual is not transmitted to Google Analytics.

Users who do not wish their information to be collected through Google Analytics may disable cookies in their browser settings or use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on provided by Google.
